Booking and Check-In

Check-in at Pure Heart Retreat begins at 4:00 PM. Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available depending on the booking schedule — just reach out in advance and we'll do our best to accommodate.

The closest airport to Pure Heart Retreat is Yellowstone Regional Airport (airport code COD) in Cody, Wyoming, approximately 25 miles and 30 minutes from the property. Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) in Billings, Montana is approximately 100 miles away, roughly a 90 minute drive. Both airports offer rental car services

Pure Heart Retreat has four geodesic dome accommodations that sleep up to 15 guests total. The Heart Mountain Dome sleeps up to 5, Cody Peak Dome sleeps 4, Pilot Peak Dome sleeps 4, and Sunlight Dome sleeps 4. The Glass Studio Dome seats up to 18 guests for group gatherings, yoga sessions, and events. For groups larger than 15, contact Taylor directly to discuss options.

Each dome at Pure Heart Retreat is configured as follows: Heart Mountain Dome has one queen bed, two twin beds, and one fold-out chair that converts to a twin — sleeping up to 5. Cody Peak Dome has one queen bed on the ground floor and two twin beds in the loft — sleeping up to 4. Pilot Peak Dome has one queen bed, one twin bed, and one fold-out chair that converts to a twin — sleeping up to 4. Sunlight Dome has one queen bed and two lofted twin beds — sleeping up to 4. The Facilitator apartment has one queen bed and one pull out sleeper sofa.

Yes. Each geodesic dome at Pure Heart Retreat includes a fully equipped kitchen with everything needed to prepare meals during your stay. Appliances, cookware, and bar seating are included. For groups requiring more extensive meal preparation, a larger kitchen facility is available by arrangement — contact Taylor for details. Pre-arrival grocery stocking is also available for a $50 service fee plus the cost of groceries.

Yes. All four domes at Pure Heart Retreat have hot water and excellent water pressure. The water is sourced from a natural spring on the property and is of exceptional quality — guests are encouraged to drink it directly from the tap.

Yes. Each dome at Pure Heart Retreat is heated and cooled by a mini-split system, providing comfortable temperatures throughout the operating season from May through November. The Wapiti Valley can experience warm days and cool nights, and the domes are equipped to handle both comfortably.

Yes. Each dome features a large skylight designed for stargazing, natural light, and a genuine connection to the sky above. On clear nights, the Milky Way is visible directly overhead — one of the most distinctive features of a stay at Pure Heart Retreat.

Yes. When scheduled classes are not in session, guests are welcome to use the Glass Studio Dome freely for personal practice, quiet reflection, or simply enjoying the mountain views. The studio is available to all guests throughout their stay.

No. Pure Heart Retreat is a non-smoking property. This applies to all indoor and outdoor areas of the retreat grounds.

Cell service in the Wapiti Valley can be limited depending on your carrier. Pure Heart Retreat provides Starlink satellite internet, which delivers reliable high-speed connectivity throughout the property. Guests can expect consistent access for streaming, video calls, and remote work.

A washing machine and dryer are available for guest use in the facilitator apartment, which also serves as the check-in area for individual dome bookings. Guests are welcome to use the laundry facilities during their stay. This is particularly convenient for longer visits and multi-day retreat groups.

Pure Heart Retreat offers a comprehensive range of on-site wellness experiences. The Glass Studio Dome — a 30-foot all-glass geodesic dome surrounded by mountain views — hosts all-levels yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound baths, and chi gong. A barrel sauna and cold plunge are available for contrast therapy. A walking meditation labyrinth offers a contemplative moving practice for all ages and abilities. Morning yoga and evening meditation classes are included with every stay. Local wellness practitioners are available by arrangement for additional sessions.

Absolutely. All yoga and meditation classes at Pure Heart Retreat are all-levels and open to every guest regardless of experience. No prior practice is required. Yoga mats and all props are provided in the Glass Studio Dome. The classes are designed to meet you exactly where you are.

Yes. Morning yoga, evening meditation, and access to the Glass Studio Dome are included with every stay at Pure Heart Retreat at no additional charge. The barrel sauna, cold plunge, and walking labyrinth are also available to all guests. Additional services including private yoga sessions, sound baths, local wellness practitioners, personal photography, and catered meals are available as add-ons.

Yes. Pure Heart Retreat was specifically designed to host private retreats. The entire property — all four guest domes, the Glass Studio Dome, the barrel sauna and cold plunge, the walking labyrinth, the fire circle, and the facilitator apartment — is available for exclusive private booking for groups of up to 15 overnight guests and up to 18 for sessions. Private retreat bookings start at $2,000 per day. Contact Taylor to begin planning.

For peak season dates between June and September, Pure Heart Retreat recommends booking at least 3 to 6 months in advance. Shoulder season dates in May and October may be available with shorter notice. Private retreat inquiries are handled personally by Taylor — reach out as early as possible to secure your preferred dates.

Yes. Pure Heart Retreat warmly welcomes outside facilitators and instructors. The property is designed to support retreat leaders of all modalities. A dedicated facilitator apartment provides private space for retreat leaders separate from the guest accommodations, allowing facilitators to rest, prepare, and arrive fully present for their group.

Pure Heart Retreat is well suited for a wide range of retreat formats including yoga and wellness retreats, meditation and mindfulness retreats, breathwork and somatic practice retreats, corporate wellness and team offsites, creative and writing retreats, grief and healing circles, faith-based gatherings, and celebration events such as bachelorette weekends and milestone birthdays. Pure Heart Retreat is located at 85 Green Creek Road, Wapiti, Wyoming 82414 — halfway between Cody, Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park's East Gate on US Highway 14/16/20, also known as the North Fork Highway or the Buffalo Bill Cody Scenic Byway. The property sits in the Wapiti Valley, approximately 25 miles east of Cody and 30 miles from Yellowstone's East Entrance.

Yes. The Wapiti Valley is an active bear habitat and both black bears and grizzly bears are occasionally present in the area surrounding Pure Heart Retreat. Bear spray is provided for all guests and is available in each dome. Guests are encouraged to practice standard bear safety habits including securing food and scented items and remaining aware of their surroundings on trails and at dawn and dusk.

Yes. Pure Heart Retreat is surrounded by exceptional hiking in the Shoshone National Forest, with trails ranging from easy valley walks to demanding summit routes. Trails begin just up the road from the property. Each dome is stocked with a locally curated hiking guide produced by a Cody outdoor outfitter, covering the best trails in the area by difficulty, distance, and terrain. The AllTrails app is also recommended for navigation.

Pure Heart Retreat sits in one of the most activity-rich landscapes in North America. Yellowstone National Park's East Gate is 30 miles away — the quietest and most scenic entrance to the park. The Shoshone National Forest is just up the road with hundreds of miles of hiking trails. The North Fork of the Shoshone River offers world-class fly fishing for rainbow, brown, and Yellowstone cutthroat trout. Additional activities within 30 minutes of the property include horseback riding, white water rafting, cycling, swimming at Buffalo Bill Reservoir, and exploring the town of Cody, Wyoming — home to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. A locally curated hiking guide is provided in each dome.

Pure Heart Retreat operates seasonally from May 1st through November 15th each year. Private retreat bookings and individual dome rentals are available throughout the operating season. For inquiries outside the operating season, contact Taylor directly at pureheartwapiti@gmail.com.

Yes. Pure Heart Retreat observes quiet hours beginning at 9:00 PM each evening. Guests are respectfully asked to honor this policy out of consideration for others on the property and for the natural environment surrounding the retreat.

No. Pure Heart Retreat does not permit pets on the property. The Wapiti Valley is home to an abundance of wild animals including bears, wolves, and deer, and the safety of all animals — domestic and wild — is a priority. We appreciate your understanding.
Cancellations and Modifications

Full payment is required at the time of booking for all individual dome reservations at Pure Heart Retreat. Guests who cancel more than 7 days before their scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the arrival date are non-refundable.
For private retreat bookings, a non-refundable $500 deposit is required to hold dates, with the remaining balance due 60 days before arrival. Cancellations made 90 or more days before arrival receive a full refund minus the $500 deposit. Cancellations made 30 to 89 days before arrival receive a 50% refund of the total booking. Cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival are non-refundable.
